At Career Labs we help people find “good” jobs and understand how these jobs fit into a successful career. We share what we and others have learned during our careers to make job search and career management tools available and relatable to anyone who wants them.

Landing a good job requires investigation and preparation. Investigation includes learning about different job options from companies and the people who work at those companies, as well as determining how your interests and skills fit job options. Preparation includes crafting a resume, networking and interviewing.
We help you understand and implement these steps in a straightforward, logical and thoughtful way. We also help you understand what it takes to succeed at you job once employed by helping you define “success” at any particular point in your career.
In our experience, most people have many jobs during their careers. Having a successful career depends on many factors including work/life balance, money, personal interests, family considerations, etc. By helping you think about your definition of success and how that changes over time, we also help you put jobs and a career into a positive perspective so you can hopefully achieve the career fulfilment and happiness everyone deserves.

Dan O’Neil
I co-founded Career Labs in 2020 to help people land satisfying jobs and navigate their career paths. During my career I have truly benefited from the advice of mentors and peers as well as from experience gained after many years in the workforce. I have also learned by reviewing countless resumes and interviewing hundreds of applicants when I was looking to hire co-workers. I enjoy helping people learn from my experiences (and mistakes) so they can more easily manage successful careers on their terms. As a company, we try to share these learnings in straightforward, relevant and accessible ways. The feedback we receive has been positive, which we find very rewarding.
Previously, I have worked in finance, investment banking and strategy consulting, for large companies, small companies and on my own. I graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Economics and earned an MBA at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. I am a father of three and in my spare time enjoy relaxing with friends, practicing my guitar and trying to stay healthy.

Dan Fleming
I co-founded Career Labs in 2020 to share valuable career related knowledge gained from my own professional experiences. I enjoy teaching the lessons learned from my personal work life, including the clarity of moments which make me think “If I only knew then what I know now…”. I have worked in large corporate America, starting my career as a circuit design engineer at AT&T. I have also worked for start-ups, and everything in-between, throughout a career in corporate finance spanning more than 20 years in Silicon Valley. My industry experience includes jobs with semiconductor, solar and software companies. My jobs have been located across the United States and I have had the good fortune to travel around the globe for work.
I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and earned an MBA in Finance at Indiana University. With my personal time, I enjoy traveling to Thailand, where my wife and I maintain a second home, and I enjoy playing guitar and recording music.
